Meet the Photographer
Hi, I’m Melanie—a wedding and portrait photographer based in the heart of South Carolina’s Midlands, but always ready to travel wherever love takes me. I grew up in the beautiful Catskills of upstate New York (yes, the Dirty Dancing mountains!) and later moved to sunny Florida, where I met my husband. After relocating to South Carolina, we bought our first home and got married here. In 2023, I turned a lifelong passion for photography into a full-time business.
I fell in love with wedding photography while planning my own wedding, which gives me a unique perspective on your big day—I know what it feels like to be both behind the camera and in front of it. My couples often describe me as kind, patient, and a natural cheerleader, creating a relaxed and joyful space where real moments unfold beautifully.
Travel fuels my creativity, and I’ve made it a goal to visit one new country and one new state every year. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll find me hiking, kayaking, or spoiling my two Golden Retrievers, Appa and Eevee, who are my heart and soul (and the inspiration for my dream of starting a Golden Retriever rescue someday).
Oh, and I’m almost always wearing blue—so consider me your built-in “something blue” on your wedding day.
